QOD:Any winter sports you enjoy?Any winter toys your family uses?I think I might look for some snow shoes this year. Some wonderful person on here told me about snow shoes.Last year we got 15+ feet of snowfall. If it starts this early I am sure we will get more so I must exercise.

Good Morning Danielle and everyone!
It's Octobrrrrrr. Too cold too soon. Really had to layer on the bike ride yesteday. Have to start thinking about bringing in the lawn furniture.  :-(
Love the pictures from the cider mill. Looks like a good turn-out and a nice time as well.
Not a lot on the agenda. Have to work on a job, at home, today. Maybe a trip to Sam's Club. Want to do water aerobics later this afternoon.
QOTD-Snowhoeing! Absolutely love it because it is so easy to do and great exercise. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Love getting out where it is so white, beautiful, and quiet. The only thing you need is a good snow base, which we had no problem getting last year. I can't wait. Also like cross-country skiing
Hope you give snowshoeing a try!!

Well, yesterday I did quite a bit of running around, and actually got out to walk the dogs for a mile and a half.  They were dragging when we got home, so I've got to build up their stamina a bit before venturing further.  Me too.  They're small terriers and their little legs need to go five times as much as mine!  Decaf with vanilla protein powder and SF Kaluha syrup for me this morning.
Today I'm having a new door wall (sliding glass patio door) installed.  They should be here in about an hour or so to start.  After it's installed I'll need to seal the wood and framing.  Tomorrow I'm meeting Jody for lunch and Wednesday my new garage door and opener is being installed.  Thursday I travel down state for my bloodword, hair cut and then to Chicago for the weekend.  Busy week this will be.
QOTD:  When I was younger I skiied every weekend and owned a snowmobile which I utilized quite a bit.  Now I can't ski because I tore my knee out and it hurts too much.  We sold the snowmobiles because we weren't using them enough.  Now that I'm living up north I don't know what I'll do this winter.  Just have to wait and see.

hey when your in Chicago pick me up some Italian Beef sandwich with out the bun. LOL

I love it there . Navy Pier. And the Science and Industry Museum. Take the family every year. Don't waste you money on the Adler Planetarium , It is expensive and really not worth the cost.

Have fun!

Good Morning!
I'm at work trying to reorient myself.  I clicked on something "bad" and infected my computer and had to have DH come in and fix it for me.  Now everything is gone and I feel lost!

QOTD-I hate being outside when it's cold.  I go from the car to the door and that's about it.  I do take the dog for walks, but I don't enjoy it at all and it takes me forever to warm up afterwards.

Hope you all have a good day!

Good Morning!
Drinking raspberry protein hot chocolate this morning.  Chilly morning . . I can't believe there is snow in the forecast already . . . and I love winter.
Heading to the pet store this morning, no dog treats in the house.
QOTD- I love winter but from the window with a bowl of chili or a cup of hot tea.  I don't mind shoveling snow but that is my only winter activity.  I usually go to the gym in the winter months.  I'm not sure how long it will be before I can do any physical activity so I'll play that by ear.

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning  Michigan.
Drinking water this am.   Need to add some protein to it though.  All my labs were great but protein  that is really low so I have to really concentrate on upping that.   I just plain don't get enough from food  I do need to supplement.
Quiet day today  hope to get the mowing done before it rains   we got lazy yesterday.
QOTD  I love the snow.    When I'm  sitting inside beside a roaring fire  and a nice warm blanket and a few cats beside me while I watch the snowfall through the window.    I get cold I hurt so I avoid most outside activities.
Have a great day Michigan

Good morning all!

I have this bad habit of staying up too late on Sunday nights.  It's like I want to extend the weekend for as long as possible before the work week starts, so if I stay up late, it feels like I have more free time.  But then on Monday morning I'm paying for my silliness.

Last night I was up late because I had procrastinated too long on doing my school work ....  I'm becoming convinced that the more I practice drawing the better I'm getting.  I'm kind of anxious to hear feedback on my drawings in class tonight, too.  (We have to hang up our drawings and then we all comment on each others' work.)

QOTD -- winter sports?  Ha!  My favorite winter sport is snuggling under a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book.  Since surgery I can't bear the cold weather and it's miserable just going from the house to the car or shoveling the driveway.  I don't seem to be as cold lately, so I might try more stuff outdoors this year.  I have a big farmers field behind my house and had considered snowshoeing last winter but was too cold to try.... maybe this year?

Good morning Danielle and everyone

Went to the gym this morning, now I am eating chili for breakfast :)  Will start on the water shortly.  Had to bundle up my boys in their "winter gear" as they call it. It's so dark out in the morning now, my 4yo asked why we were leaving at night.   Loved seeing the cider mill pics.  Brenda you were right about the avatar pics, It took me a minute to figure out who was who.  Holland isn't that far for me so I am hoping to be able to attend the next meet up.

QOTD:  I'm not a big outdoor winter fan.  I do go out and play with the boys a bit, but that's about it for me.  I will go to the gym.

Have a great monday everyone!

OOOOHHH!
The S**** word again. stop I am not ready for it.

How is everyone today? Happy and Healthy.
Pineview I offer my condolences to you and your family on the loss of you Brother. God Bless You all.

QOTD: This winter I will be very careful about getting out in the weather cause I will be protecting my body for/from surgery. I plan to go the the mall and mall walk and go to the fitness center for added exercise. But I have never been an out side "S*** loving person. And I don't think that will change. Me I am like a squirrel and hibernate for the winter!

Holland has the Tulip Festive in May.
